Beach Boys, Concert, Cubbie Fink, Foster The People, Helena Beats, Manhattan, Mark Foster, Mark Pontius, MGMT, Music, NYC, Passion Pit, Phoenix, Pumped Up Kids, Remix EP, Terminal 5, The Kooks., Torches
Although Foster the People released a self-titled EP in January of 2011 and a debut album, Torches, on May 23rd of this year, their first single Pumped Up Kicks went viral during 2010. Since then, the good-looking alternative/electronic/techno/indie/pop trio has taken the world (and my Spotify account) by storm. Torches is flavored with heavy reverb and falsetto and tastes like a spicy blend of Passion Pit/MGMT/Phoenix and the Beach Boys. Deeelightful.
The concert tomorrow night is coming at the perfect time because Foster the People released a three song Remix EP just a few days ago that features electrofied versions of Pumped Up Kicks and Helena Beats. I hope they play the Lenno Extended remix of Helena Beats at the show.
Keep ’em coming boys!
Check out the Kook’s sick cover of Pumped Up Kicks.
