I’m on an avocado kick.
It all began with the zesty breakfast burrito I had at Westville two weekends ago, and now I’m on a roll-I can’t stop! This weekend, my dear friend Katie (my favorite foodie) told me about Dos Camino’s amazing Mexico City cuisine and fabulous crab guac. It was a beautiful spring Saturday. I visited an apartment with my soon-to-be roommate Kristen, and after our tour was over we decided to go on a walk from the Financial District due north–wherever the wind would take us. After an hour of walking without lunch, our stomachs began to growl. Naturally, when we walked by Dos Caminos SoHo the late afternoon, we had to make a pit-stop. Holy guacacmole! The food was incredible.
What to order? Prickly Pear Margarita (!!!!!!). I don’t like hard liquor, but I love these margaritas. Dos Caminos knows its tequila, that’s for sure. Start off with crab guac for an appetizer, and treat yourself to the fish tacos or the Mexico City quesadillas.
Prices? Average prices-expect the price of your meal to be $15, the Prickly Pear Margaritas and other specialty drinks hover around $11.
