Schnipper’s Quality Kitchen is a 1950’s style diner featuring American cuisine at its finest. It’s inexpensive, quick, and tastes pretty good-and when the weather is chilly, it gives Shake Shake (just down the street) a run for its money.

Exhibit A:

Price? Ten bucks or less for a meal-every college student and weary traveler’s dream.

Locations? Two: 620 8th Ave (at 41st St), and 23 E. 23rd Street (at Madison Ave).

Tips: don’t order the sweet tea (it’s not real, Southern sweet tea), DO order the sweet potato fries with maple syrup dipping sauce. Give it a try!

Hours? M — TH / 10 am to 10 pm, F & SAT 10 am to 11 pm, SUN / 10 am to 9 pm

Delicious southern fried Chicken in NYC?  It’s possible, probable, and a reality. Hill Country Chicken boasts of par-non fresh pies, buttermilk biscuits, sugar cane cola, cheesy fried mashed potatoes, homestyle mac’n’cheese, and not to mention Mama Els’ fried chicken (which is in the running for the best fried chicken in the city)!
