Tomorrow night, my lovely roommate Fallon and I are going to the Foster the People concert at Terminal 5. WE ARE SO EXCITED!
Although Foster the People released a self-titled EP in January of 2011 and a debut album, Torches, on May 23rd of this year, their first single Pumped Up Kicks went viral during 2010. Since then, the good-looking alternative/electronic/techno/indie/pop trio has taken the world (and my Spotify account) by storm. Torches is flavored with heavy reverb and falsetto and tastes like a spicy blend of Passion Pit/MGMT/Phoenix and the Beach Boys. Deeelightful.
The concert tomorrow night is coming at the perfect time because Foster the People released a three song Remix EP just a few days ago that features electrofied versions of Pumped Up Kicks and Helena Beats. I hope they play the Lenno Extended remix of Helena Beats at the show.
Keep ’em coming boys!
Check out the Kook’s sick cover of Pumped Up Kicks.
